Research agenda synopsis

During my tenure at Warwick Business School (UK) and CUNEF University, I have established myself as a significant contributor to the field of employee-driven innovation, and organizational performance. More specifically, my research has evolved around HRM, employee voice, innovation, and, more recently, sustainability. These themes often intersect in my various projects and publications, creating a multifaceted approach to understanding organizational dynamics. Over the last decade, all of my research activities have been financed by EU, national, and stakeholder-level funding, which underlines not only the high impact, relevant, and international nature of my work, published in highly regarded international journals, but also my ability to engage in fruitful dialogue with industry partners and public and private foundations and stakeholders.

Research objectives

In empirical work, my primary analytical focus is directed towards both the individual and organizational levels. This involves assessing factors such as proactive employee behavior, empowering leadership behavior, and organizational variables like organizational culture or individual value orientations. These factors are assessed for their contribution to outcomes, such as innovative work behavior or management innovation. The latter are considered important concurrent performance variables for businesses, particularly for a firm’s sustainability pursuit. My conceptual work addresses the strategic intent of innovation or HRM in a contemporary business context, paving the way for my empirical inquiries. Over the next five years, I plan to integrate my research with a focus on social innovation, stakeholder collaboration, and sustainable firm performance, as well as AMO-oriented strategic HRM, voice, and sustainability, with both lines of research supported by international research fund applications.
