Description

The 6. Culinary Wine & Tourism Conference at IMC Krems from May 22 to 25 2024: Four days dedicated to tourism, wine and culinary delights. International scientists and experts met at IMC Krems for the Culinary and Wine Tourism Conference 2024. The IMC University of Applied Sciences Krems in collaboration with the Institute for Tourism Management of the FHWien and the German Society for Tourism Research (DGT) hosted the 6th Culinary and Wine Tourism Conference (CWTC24) at the IMC Campus Gozzoburg. From the opportunities for rural regions to score points with local products to gamification in wine tourism: around 50 speakers presented the latest research findings at this event. In addition, the Institute for Tourism, Wine Business and Marketing at IMC Krems organized a series of events including a boat trip through the Wachau, workshops organized in collaboration with local and international partner companies as well as a field trip to the VieVinum, Austria’s most prestigious wine fair in the Imperial Castle of Vienna. The participants and students were able to immerse themselves in different worlds together: from natural wine and glass culture to biodiversity in vineyards and vegetable fields. The results of the conference are publicly available in the CWTC conference proceedings. Special thanks go to our sponsors Vinea Wachau and the Austrian Wine Marketing Board (ÖWM) as well as the organizers at the CWTC partner institutions Daniela Wagner (FHWien) and Axel Dreyer (DGT). Project Result: Successful organization of an international scientific conference with subsequent publications in conference proceedings
